President Joko Widodo inaugurated the Indonesian Millennial Housing located in the Mahata Semesta Flat, Depok, West Java, on Thursday (13/4/2023). The President appreciated the residential construction in the form of flats. This is because the prices for these flats are affordable and suitable for young people. "I think the price is affordable. (The existing price) is subsidized at (range) Rp. 200 million. For those who are not subsidized, there are Rp. 300 million, there are Rp. 500 million," Jokowi said at the inauguration. "The installments are also cheap.
So it is very suitable for young people's housing, millennial housing," he explained. The President revealed that he had ordered the relevant ministries to build Indonesian Millennial Flats in various cities with high levels of congestion.
Primarily, these flats can be integrated with a train station, making it easier for millennials to move. "I have ordered it to be built in cities with traffic jams. It must be (built)," Jokowi said. "We will develop it in all cities, especially (on) PT KAI's land which is not being utilized properly," he explained. Later, the construction of the flats will cooperate with PT Perumnas and the PUPR Ministry.
The Head of State also praised the location of the Indonesian Millennial Housing which is in the Mahata Semesta Flat, Depok. This is because the location is strategically close to campuses, hospitals and other means of transportation.
